COUNTRY STYLE STEAK AND EGGS WITH GRILLED TOMATOES

Ingredients

  • 1 Double Red 1904® 8 Ounce Sirloin Steak
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tomatoes; halved
  • 2 farm fresh eggs; cooked sunny side up
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron pan with olive oil.
  2. Place frozen steak in pan, and cook on one side for approximately 5-7 minutes, flip the steak and cook and additional 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from pan and let rest for another 5 minutes.
  4. Season steak with salt and pepper and set aside.
  5. Cook eggs and tomatoes seasoned with salt and pepper in cast iron pan and set aside.
  6. Place steak, eggs, and tomatoes on a plate sprinkled with fresh thyme.
  7. Enjoy!
