ELEVATED TACO SALAD
This quick and easy taco salad will provide a fiesta for your diners any night of the week!
Ingredients
- 1 Pounds Double Red Selection® Beef Strips
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 packet taco seasoning; add water according to package directions.
- 2 cups romaine lettuce; cleaned and chopped
- 1 beefsteak tomato; chopped
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 green onion; chopped
- 1 fresh jalapeño pepper; sliced
- 1 fresh lime; quartered
- ¼ cup multicolored tortilla strips
- fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a large Dutch oven or casserole dish, add olive oil and beef strips, sear meat on all sides until browned, and add taco seasoning mixture; simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Place Romaine lettuce in a serving bowl and top with beef strips, grated cheddar cheese, onions, tomatoes, sour cream fresh jalapenos, tortilla strips, a sprig of cilantro and lime wedge.
- Serve with dressing of choice, salsa, and warmed tortilla chips.
