STEAK SALAD
with Creamy Balsamic Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 1 Double Red 1904® 8 ounce Flat Iron Steak
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 ounces spring mix; washed and dried
- 1 red onion; chopped
- 6 cherry tomatoes; halved
- 2 tablespoon feta cheese, crumbled
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette
Instructions
- Heat a cast iron pan with olive oil.
- Place frozen steak in pan, and cook on one side for approximately 5-7 minutes, flip the steak and cook and additional 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from pan and let rest for another 5 minutes.
- Season steak with salt and pepper, and slice across the grain into even pieces; set aside.
- Place spring mix into salad bowl, and top with cherry tomatoes, onion and feta cheese.
- Drizzle balsamic vinaigrette over the top.
- Enjoy!
Creamy Balsamic Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together until emulsified.
- Place in an airtight container.
- Store refrigerated.
